ECQF Game 2: Penguins - 5, Senators - 3

The Penguins were so dominant in this game, they almost beat themselves! 54 shots on goal! 54! That is absurd! How terrible are the Senators to let up 54 shots? The Pens rarely ever outshoot their opponents. The Penguins took an easy 3-0 lead and then lost their focus, letting the Senators tie the game on 3 sloppy plays. That sudden loss of focus is a concern. But once the heat was back on, the Pens displayed their might again. The Malkin line is just incredible! Crosby was great with 4 assists. Sykora... what a sniper! I'm starting to wonder if you can consider Hossa a sniper. He doesn't seem to be one in the mode of Sykora. He's a lot more patient with the puck, almost too patient. Gerber was amazing for the Senators. The Penguins could have had 10 goals if not for him. He is very difficult to beat. The Pens could only score on him through screens and making him go east-west. For the most part, it was a good performance by the Pens but they need to keep their focus for the full 60-minutes. Let this be a lesson to them.

2 wins down, 14 to go!
